Discovery

GMTales keeps the table current without anyone announcing changes by hand.

Activity Feeds

  • User feed — new and updated articles and notes across every campaign you follow, grouped by day. Each entry names the campaign it happened in, and the world when the campaign belongs to one.

  • Campaign feed — recent edits and new articles in one campaign, with author and timestamp.

Unread Tracking

GMTales tracks what you have read in every campaign. Viewing an article marks it read; when someone else changes it, it turns unread again, and unread indicators appear throughout the interface.

Relevance

The relevance directive marks how central an article is. Any number will do; a higher one ranks the article above a lower one:

<!-- relevance: 98 -->

The number is read wherever articles rank:

  • Sort — list view can sort by relevance, highest first.

  • Filter — the overview filter panel has a relevance threshold slider that hides articles below a chosen value.

  • Portrait rings — wherever an article appears as a round portrait, its relevance is drawn as an arc around it.

The relevance ring

Relevance has no fixed maximum, so the arc is normalised against the highest relevance among the articles currently loaded. A campaign whose top article rates 98 and one whose top rates 12 both draw a full sweep at the top. The ring shows rank within the campaign.

Pinned Articles

<!-- pinned --> # The Oathblade

Pinned articles sort first in list view, whatever the sort order: campaign introductions, active plot hooks, the artifact driving the whole story.

Author Tabs

The overview groups articles by author: All, a tab per author, and Game Masters when a game master has written something in view. Tabs respect the active filters and search.

Full-text search covers titles, content, and metadata. Results highlight the matches and combine with the type and label filters.
